Objective:

LA based rapidly expanding music booking agency TKO, wanted a website that would redefine the music booking industry yet one that could be maintained on a daily basis by the TKO personnel. The concept to allow all facets of booking a top rock band online was indeed groundbreaking when suggested by TKO`s CEO Dave Kirby and presented TOL23 Design one of our biggest challenges to date.

Strategy:

The development was handled in two phases which ran concurrently.
Group strategy meetings were held where TOL23 Design learned from TKO the intracies of running a successful booking agency.

Built around TOL23 Design`s proprietry content management system, an impressive front end was constructed using Adobe Flash, Adobe After Effects and Maxon Cinema4d.

Using OpenLaszlo, a suite of highly complex password protected offices incorporating such functionality as making an offer, viewing avails, multimedia, downloading press kits and much more was built.
All facets of the website can be maintained and updated by TKO through TOL23 Design`s content management system.

Results:

When the TKO website launched it was promoted with the slogan 'Ever wonder how the agency business will work 3 years from now - why wait?", and rightly so.

When users log onto TKO they receive an online experience second to none, able to view band profiles, video and tourdates in a state-of-the-art 3d virtual nightclub.

Clients of TKO can log into their personalised offices and conduct day to day business with TKO. When the site launched, TKO had a roster of 40 bands, in the 2 years that have followed the launch, this roster has grown to over 200 bands .
